About

I am an actor, writer and director currently living in Los Angeles, CA. I use  the medium of theatre and writing to explore how stories shape our understandings and actions in the world around us. As a director, I primarily interested in how collaboration is practiced, both in the rehearsal room and in performance between the artist and spectator. The question of  "how can we live together?" is one that desperately needs an answer, and I aim to propose novel solutions to this problem.

As an actor and writer, I am interested in contributing to new forms of storytelling that continue to grow and reshape how audiences interact and engage with performance. Areas that I am particularly interested in include video games and performance capture, non-narrative theatre, and older art forms like radio-plays.

Beyond theatre, I try to use my background in history to contextualize my practice and the techniques we use in performance. I am interested in understanding how we all fit into a tradition, whether we are aware of it or not. I also want to make the past come alive and use history as it should be used: not as a chronicle of things that have already happened, but as a method of inquiry that will help us understand why the world looks the way it does and demonstrate that we are all actors on the world stage, and that our choices, both individual and collective, shape our reality.
